Biography
Larry is a native of the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay
Area, and has only spent four years away, while attending
the University of California at Santa Barbara.
There, he earned a bachelors degree in mathematics and a teaching
credential. For 10 years, Larry enjoyed teaching high school
and junior high school math in Fremont, California. In the
midst of that period, about 1980, Larry began performing occasionally.
In 1984, with the encouragement of his wife, Barbara, Larry
made a major professional change to full-time juggler. What
had been a hobby with occasional performing became a full-time
career for the next eleven years. During that period, about
1990, Larry learned to do cowboy-style trick lariat spinning.
He developed an additional dynamic act that combined trick
roping with telling tales of the Wild West. Larry returned to teaching in 1995, and currently has a position at San Leandro High School. He continues to perform part-time, especially during
the summers.
